This video was filmed at Waikiki Beach in Honolulu Hawaii by Morrisey Productions in September of 2016. Filmed with a DJI Inspire x5R Drone with raw capability. During this flight Brit Morrisey was controlling the drone and Seth Morrisey was controlling the camera. Check out the Morrisey Productions YouTube channel to see the full video version of our Hawaii adventure including footage of Molokai and surf footage from Queens and other legendary Hawaiian surf locations.

Exploring Oregon 1.0 is a visual journey through the most scenic locations that the State of Oregon has to offer. This video was filmed with a DJI Inspire X5R Drone in 4K and raw quality. Our journey started on the North Oregon Coast in Oswald West State park and Ecola State Park. From that point we moved South down the Oregon Coast to Pacific City Oregon. After an incredible day of filming in Pacific City we decided to travel to our next filming location which was the Lincoln City Thumb where we were joined by Alex Reed and Melissa Stough. We arrived only 1 hour before sunset so we had to hustle to get all the shots we needed for the video. After 4 successful drone battery flights the sun began to set on the Pacific Ocean and we headed down highway 101 towards Cape Perpetua State Park. The next day we woke up at 5am to a heavy fog bank and were unable to capture footage of Thor’s Well so we kept driving South. Our goal was to spend a day or two exploring Samuel Boardman State Park. The first day was spent exploring Natural Bridge and then Secret Beach. After a successful drone flight at both locations we decided we had the footage we need from Samuel Boardman so we decided to head back to Gold Beach for the night. The next morning we met the owner of Jerry’s Jet Boats and he let us take a ride up the Rogue River to film the jet boats in action. As we moved up river we scouted out for scenic locations to launch the drone. Eventually, about 15 miles upstream we found a great stretch that was perfect for launching the drone. After a few successful flights we headed back to Gold Beach and decided to move on. The next day we drove inland towards Southern Oregon to explore Upper and Lower Table Rock outside Medford Oregon. We hiked up to the summit of Lower Table Rock and captured some amazing sunset drone footage, but we decided not to include it in the video. The next day we headed towards Crater Lake National Park to explore the area. From there, we decided to travel North to Mt Hood National Forest eventually stopping at Trillium Lake. There we were able to capture some incredible drone footage right before sunset. The next day we decided to travel East and check out the Painted Hills in Eastern Oregon. After a day of filming and exploring we were running out of time so we started heading back West making a quick stop and Rowena Crest Viewpoint and Oneonta Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. During our trip we captured some incredible clips that we were unable to put into the video. Over the next few months we will release the rest of the footage as stand alone clips as well as shorter edits. I hope you enjoy the drone footage as much as we did filming it.
Here are some screen captures from our Exploring Oregon 1.0 video.
The video has already received over 100,000 views on Facebook.
Our passion is to capture the beauty of the Oregon Coast and Pacific Northwest through video and photography. As a lifelong Oregon Coast resident, I never get tired of living at the beach. This is an amazing area to capture aerial videography and photography. As new drone pilots, we have been logging tons of flights to improve our skills and to capture better footage.
Over the past few years we have been flying our DJI Phantom Drone perfecting the art of aerial video production. Our DJI Phantom aerial craft has been heavily modified for video production including a new gimbal, motors, propellors, upgraded antena, controller, viewing screen, camera, and more. We are able to fly continuously for approximately 20 minutes at a distance of several miles. The camera attached to our DJI is capable of filming in 4k quality making it ideal for film production or TV Commercials. These drone clips were filmed over a year ago and we decided to finally release them in a video. Currently, we have logged more than 100 perfect drone flights without a single accident. In the future we plan on continuing to produce breathtaking aerial videos of scenic locations around the world. This year for the first time we entered the the 2015 Oregon Coast Film Festival with our film Oregon Backpacking Adventure . Currently we are not offering our drone services to the general public. We are still waiting on FAA regulations, licensing, and approval before we offer commercial drone services. If your interested in our aerial video services or would like to sponsor a video, contact us on our website to be notified as soon as we are approved by the FAA to offer commercial aerial services.

The 2015 Oregon Coast Film Festival is this weekend in Bandon Oregon. Morrisey Productions submitted our Coast Range Mountains Backpacking Adventure Video into the mixed media category. Over the last 6-months we have been backpacking around the Coast Range Mountains with our DJI Phantom Drone attempting to capture scenic footage from various summits. Filmed entirely by drone, this video attempts to capture our journey as we explore the coast range mountains. To keep things interested we opted not to use maps but instead decided to find the summits for ourselves. Some of these locations took multiple trips and even days to find because the trails were overgrown and lacked markings. As the saying goes,”the adventure is the journey” and we had a blast exploring an area of Oregon that few people venture into. We opted to stay away from the popular tourist spots like Saddle Mountain and instead focus on lesser known peaks. The drone flying and camera work for our Oregon Coast Range video was done by Brit Morrisey with Seth Morrisey being the backpacker and actor in the film. During our trip to Mystery Mountain we were joined by our cousin Willy Weaver who can be seen in one of the final scenes of the video. Our hope was to bring viewers a new perspective of this beautiful Oregon Mountain Range. Our submission to the 2015 Oregon Coast Film Festival will be shown at 7pm October 10 at the Sprague Theater in Bandon Oregon. You can see more of our aerial work by watching our Oregon Coast Drone Video.
The address to the Sprague Community Theater is 1202 11th St SW, Bandon, OR 97411 or follow the directions on the map below. The show starts on Friday at 6pm and continues on Saturday with the best of the festival event starting at 6pm. Audience choice and the category winners will be picked late in the evening on Saturday.

The Morrisey Video Production crew was up in Seattle Washington for the weekend and ended up shooting some night footage and time-lapse video with our Cannon 5D Camera. We love shooting at night because it gives you a perspective you don’t see often. My favorite clips are the night shots of the Space Needle in Seattle Washington. We also did a few time-lapse videos at night which turned out pretty good. I’m excited for our next trip to Washington to film more of their iconic landscapes.
We provide Video Production, Photography, and Marketing Services throughout the States of Oregon and Washington. Contact Morrisey Video Production for your free no-obligation quote.
